AM Cardio before the Storm

Hello everyone! I hope you are all having a great day so far. It is suppose to storm here today so this morning it felt disgusting in the gym.  It was difficult to get into my workout because of the heat and humidity. I honestly thought about quitting 20 minutes in, but I knew I would be very disappointed in myself so I kept on and completed my 15 miles. Justin Timberlake helped me :) I love his new cd!

This is how I felt when I was done...

One you get yours in today, you will feel the same way because

This picture is so true. When you practice a healthy lifestyle, incorporating good foods and exercise, you really do allow yourself to be happy. Start today and you will not regret it! All you have to do is start with small changes.

For example, if you drink soda and feel like you have to have it everyday, begin to slowly cut it out. The amount of sugar and chemicals that are in soft drinks is disturbing. I can not believe I ever put that stuff in my body willingly. Start replacing your soft drinks with water and tea. You can flavor your water with any fruit and there are so many different teas you can try. It is easier to quit than you think, so just do it! Second, cook more at home. This one was huge for me! In fact, this was the main thing I had to change. Once I did, the pounds started to come off!

To be honest, I LOVE cooking! I would rather cook at home than go to a restaurant for a few different reasons. The main one is because I know what EXACTLY is going into my food and HOW it is prepared.

My challenge of eating "clean" has been going very well. I am quite proud of myself because I am gaining more and more willpower each and everyday. My husband and mom wanted pizza for lunch today, which they both got and enjoyed, but I stuck with my plan! I made an egg-white salad sandwich on Ezekiel low sodium bread with greek yogurt (in place of mayo), pickle, red onion, fresh black pepper and some Srirachi for a nice kick! It was nicely complimented with 1 cup of steamed broccoli and half of an orange. Yum yum!

Don't get me wrong, the pizza smelt and looked delicious. I would be lying if I said I did not want an tinny tiny taste, but I knew it would not be worth it and it would just make me feel bloated :)

Yesterday, I had a craving for the taste of bbq sauce. When I was at the health food store buying my afternoon pick me up drink, I found these bad boys.

Can we say delicious?! I could have devoured the entire bag they were so good!

I love the story of this company. Go to their website and read all about them and their delicious products Rhythm Superfoods.

Until next time, I hope everyone has a blessed day!
