Raw Energy

Today I made some raw energy bites for myself and family. They are completely sugar free! The ingredients are all simple and organic.

For the bites

*1 cup dates
*1 cup oats
*1 cup unsweetened shredded coconut
*1 cup almonds
*6 tablespoons coconut oil

Optional toppings

*shredded coconut
*hemp seeds
*goji berries
*unsweetened carob chips

Mine made 25 medium sized bites!

Simply place the bite ingredients in a food processor.

Pulse for a good minute until everything is very crumbly.

Add the coconut oil and pulse again.

When the coconut oil is distributed the bite "dough" will form.

You can now roll your bites together. Rolling them in additional ingredients is not mandatory. They are packed full of flavor plain.

Voila!

Trust me, you will love these, your kids will love them, heck everyone you give them to will adore them.

When we put pure ingredients in our bodies, we feel better! I love to have one of these with a glass of warm homemade almond milk.

Until next time, have a blessed day!!

A New Year

Hello everyone! I hope each and every one of you had an amazing Holiday season. I can not believe they have all ready come and gone. Time goes by way too quickly!

A new year brings new wishes, hopes and dreams--resolutions and I am excited to get mine kicked into gear.

I will not bore you with all the ones I have set, but one is to write in this blog much more. I want to share more of my ideas on living a healthy lifestyle and the things I do on a daily basis to strive to accomplish this. My husband and I did very well in 2013 and will do even better this year! Join us and lets all get and stay healthy together.

Juicing has been a passion of mine for years, but was taken to a different level in 2013. There were not too many days where fresh juice was not available in our house. I am excited to do even more juicing this year.

It is the 4th day of the new year and I hope you are keeping up with the resolutions you set!

Until next time have a blessed day!
